If the California courts void Prop 8, I suspect the floodgates might open at that point. We'll see. Whatever the route, we know where this road goes eventually. The steady progression of equal protection in American society is one of our great strengths and achievements over history.

I don't like bigots. Is it name calling to call a Klansman a bigot? If it is, it's not something I worry about. For me folks who hate gays are no different- it's just gradations of bigotry- the color stays the same though the shades differ. My approach doesn't need to "convince", because the folks who are prejudiced aren't going to change. We'll just have to wait for them to die off. And young people? They are WAY more agressive about the whole thing than I am.
