I think you are reaching by calling something hate when they simply believe it's not right. There is a huge difference between right/wrong and hate, the 'ban' as it's called was not put in place on purpose it was just never considered "normal". Can you describe the harm or injury - since civil unions provide all the same protections as marriage - name a few actual denials of rights - which drinking fountain can they not drink from, which house can they not buy? You're reference to people dieing off is just disturbing you have such disrespect for the older generations.
