Rambi - Spin comes off as nauseatingly insincere - better to say "We make adjustments to historical precedent based upon the cultures we interact with and the current context". Let people figure out what THAT means. It's like Clinton's "I didn't inhale and never tried it again". No one is going to believe it anyway. And if he didn't inhale, then he really didn't try it. JMO.
