Rush said on Fox that the revenue agents in NY demand that he account for his whereabouts every day of the year with multiple documentation. They wanted permission to come into his apartment to rummage around to judge whether he's lying about really living in Fla. Turns my stomach that any citizen is treated like that. Privacy rights? What a joke.

My preference would be a consumption tax system, but of course reliance on that method would finance a government only a fraction of its current size.

My state does not have an income tax. It relies on a sales tax of 7.1% and the dear governor wants to raise it. They are also talking about implementing an income tax, but only for people who make over $250,000 as if that were some how more fair.

Not much talk about cutting services we don't need. Frankly, I'm not sure what state services I do need, as I really can't think of any except state highways. The state university system benefits me indirectly, but I can get along without it.
