A small number would fit in the centrist mold per my definition that they actively consider voting for both parties in any given election.

This describes me.

Even as odious as the GOP has become the past eight years, I still pulled the lever for Wamp (R) in the House race, because I thought he was the best candidate on the ballot.

Along with Obama for POTUS, of course.

And, as do you, I hope for the return of a politically viable GOP for the checks and balance aspect.

Even as I expend untold amounts of snark on some of the wackier actions of the Movement subset.
