"HRC is a strong, successful woman who was an attorney, a first lady, a senator and now the Sec of State."

Right. I understood that was the source of rage from the start. Since the sixties the expectation has been to bring ball busting feminist types crashing through glass ceilings. Step over dead white men, abandon your children, abort your nature, prove you can whoop men and if you can't, emasculate them into dopey sumbissive incompetence.

It doesn't seem fair, after all the sacrifices to their womanhood the feminists have made for decades. Cripes, we've changed the whole culture for them.

I was as shocked as anyone to see Sarah come on the scene. As you pointed out, she is a looker, she has charisma, she has conquered her opponents in Alaska with style that was admired by fellow Alaskans, she pulled her self up from unlikely beginnings, no less than an Andrew Jackson type male. But dangnabit... she is a good mom, loves her husband, and is even kind of sexy....whathefff I can really understand what a horrible disappointment that is to someone like you.

HRC is a strong, successful woman who was an attorney, a first lady, a senator and now the Sec of State.

Palin is a woman who went to six different colleges before she managed to graduate. She fell into a council job and then a mayoral job where her duties were superficial. And then thanks to her good looks and charisma, she proceeded to become governor of Alaska where her opponent, the incumbent, had been badly discredited. Attracting the attention of McCain because of her good looks, she joined his campaign. She then proceeded to call our current president a terrorist. Since McCain's loss, she has further discredited herself in and outside the press in a number of ways. She is now one level above Joe, the plumber.

I don't know how much of what you say about Palin is or is not true.

But I do know that it isn't justification for the attacks on Palin -- from both the Left and the Right, and certainly not for the attacks on her daughter.

Palin is at the very least, a respectable individual.
