Dallas has an 8.25% sales tax. Most is state, but cities and counties jump on the bandwagon to varying degrees across the state. Taxes are never fun, but sales taxes are better than an income tax.

WA State tax was 8.6% so a jump to 9.5% is big...When the Dem Governor Gregoire took over, there was a $3 Billion dollar surplus....The spending has increased 34%, and we are now in deficit of $9 Billion!!

Each different community around here adds an additional tax of their own, and I believe ours will come in to make it an even 10%...

In addition, my husband (who pays LOTS of attention to taxes) tells me that we have over 1500 different taxes in this state...

And we DON'T want an income tax....If you look at the spending above, it simply proves that our House and Senate can't be trusted ....things may go down a bit if we do get one in here, but you can bet that the State Taxes will go right back up again....
