To "Go Troppo" is an old expression which describes what happens to some corporate wallahs if sent to work in the Pacific Islands for too long. There's also the expression to "Go native" which means a similar thing. It's not much of a stretch of imagination to think that a child growing up in Bombay will have a different mindset from a child growing up in Eketahuna or Yellowknife. Sure enough, they do. Finns get SAD [seasonal affective disorder] because their pineal glands lack light for much of the year and being snowbound doesn't help. Mqurice
