He is not only giving it away through his foundation, he is working full time for that foundation....on serious world wide problems....no partisanship nationally or politically. I have no issue with what Gates is doing. It is his time and money. I'm simply saying, it is a case of use it or lose it. Bush was given a 300B surplus when he took office, how did he finish??? OOPs...sorry, that would where we are right now, wouldn't it? That isn't quite true, but nevertheless, Obama's projected deficits are measured in trillions, not 100s of billions. I didn't like the 100s of billions, but it sure as hell is no justification for the trillions Obama is taking from our children's futures.
