the Wasilla soap opera that is the Governor's family drama is tiresome even for the locals.

I'm sure... that's why they all love her up there... they're probably tied of hearing idiots bash her for no reason

__________

Her approval ratings are not what they were...but with the economy in the tank and problems abounding, and her spat witht he local republican leadership in the legislature, its not a surprise. She certainly has her base of support.

You have said, I believe (and I hope I am quoting you correctly, as I don't want to use the wrong terminology. <vbg>) that Palin speaks for you and a lot of other people.

Could you explain just what it is she has said in her speeches, writings, position papers, that you and perhaps others feels is so compelling? TIA

Is it her abortion stance, such as this?:

Palin drops consent requirement from abortion bill
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is willing to cede the more controversial "consent" provision from an abortion bill, and replace it with the less draconian "notification".

Late last month, Palin said she wouldn't compromise on the legislation:

"This bill is a good bill, as is, and I have faith that the pro-parent's rights lawmakers agree that if we require Alaska's kids to have their parent's consent before they're given a Tylenol from the school nurse, or before getting their ears pierced, that they understand why many parents support Rep. Coghill's bill, as written."

Now Palin says consent will prove too difficult to pass in the little time the Legislature has remaining.
