I know of your feelings, Rick.

My next door neighbor's wife (been the best of friends for over 20 years now) is in her fourth battle with cancer and is in Rochester as I type.

She has just gone through an entire bone marrow transplant and now they are in the critical stage of monitoring the buildup of white blood cells.

I don't know which is worse; to have the where-with-all to go through extensive medical treatment like my buddies' wife or say to hell with it (like my mother did), when the end result is quite often the same.

I'm sure we all would be happy if the end came quickly and with no pain.

BUMMER! :-(

We have 26 people here now. Just finished the big meal.
This is what is cool..... of the 26, only 5 are over 50.

Yes that is really cool!! Will keep you "forever young"

So sorry about your friend.

I tell you RR, the only way I can accept such is to celebrate their life and having known them all those years. Dying is a part of living and if there was no death there would not have been this life. I have to keep this in my mind when it comes to my husband and my mother that died a few years back.

Glad you are enjoying the weekend.

Good for you, RR. Your partner is in my prayers.

Nothing like our kids and their peers to keep us vibrant. <G>

Happy Easter to you and yours.

John

Hello from the Mayo Clinic! Been up here this week with a dear friend who had surgery for cancer. This place is awesome. They have their stuff together! Very efficient and procedure oriented.

Hope everyone is doing well and made some money this week!
