The life boat is enclosed, how can they see where he is ? I say morse code him to tell him to jump over board at a certain time and then blast the boat out of the water

The Pirates will probably have the Captain in the center of the boat with them surrounding him.

Problem with that is the life boat they're on is completely enclosed except for a hatch on back....

My thought is to send 2 SEALs to plant small charges to blow small holes in the bottom of that lifeboat and sink it. With everyone in the water they can rescue the hostage and kill the pirates.
