Ted, I've been 140 mph on my bike, and 600 mph in a jetliner many times. The bike felt a LOT faster, even though I know the plane really was. As I said, it's all relative..

Surface travel at a constant 180 mph for long periods of time where you are just sitting there is different from either of the above experiences.
