RE: James O'Shaughnessy has written a book "What Works on Wall Street - A Guide to the Best-Performing Investment Strategies of All Time" which examines a number of popular strategies, back tests them, and derives a blend which he implements in the O'Shaughnessy Cornerstone Growth Fund (OSCGX).

There is also another fund, called the Cornerstone Value Fund (OSCVX), which is like the Dow Dogs, but with a few more bells and whistles...

Together, the two funds nicely complement one another, IMO. When one of the strategies is soaring, the other is coasting; and when one of them is tumbling, the other tends to have a stabilizing effect.
