It was Gibbs who made it an issue. Obama should fire him. I really don't think someone who polarizes the nation to the extent Gibbs does should be a presidential spokesman. Obama should not make the same mistake Bush did, who waited way to long to fire his spokesperson.

I could not agree more. For a press secretary, Gibbs is as inarticulate as any I've seen. In some ways, it is a bigger problem even than Bush's lack of communication ability was, since Gibbs is the guy out front on a daily basis. He just adds insult to injury with his divisive remarks. I don't think it is at all consistent with Obama's intended message.

I think he won't last long. Just a bad choice all the way around.
