She turned "not bearish" in January, afer being bearish since July '96.

She missed 1000 dow points in the meanwhile.

OOPS!

What is your take on the capital equipment makers? AMAT and the rest of the gang are getting killed, although after a 400% run, and it will probably get worse tomorrow.This appears to be primarily due to concerns about se asia.

AMAT is trading at 16-17x next year estimates, although estmates may
be revised downwards.

I'm not a disciple (sp?), but I think January. I recall alot of people considering that contrary sell signal. I saw her last week on NBR, and she confirmed her bullishness. The reason she says she went bearish from July '96 (at the exact bottom <G>) until January was that one of her indicators was thrown off by a change in the time companies report their cash flow. That is likely not quite what she said, but it's the best I can remember.
