I read about that handshake, a very nice touch. Reminds me of the last time I worked a SecState visit in Sarajevo in 2001, even though I wasn't full-time with the embassy I chipped in for a Colin Powell visit. I am hanging around the Holiday Inn lobby where we held the press events and our ambassador is walking out with Powell to the motorcade to go to the airport. Ambassador sees me and yells out "Thanks, Dale!" so Powell did the same, even though he didn't know me from Adam from all the staffers around. Doesn't take much to make a good impression. Little gestures count.
