Those complexities don't have to be used.....not if you not looking for a break.... Aren't you a flat taxer???? You have no idea what you're talking about. If you sell farm equipment you MUST use 4797 and Schedule D. That isn't a choice. It is a requirement. Proper completion of a return isn't an option. You cannot just choose not to report the sale of business property on 4797 because it is too complex. Really, you're just stupid to be involved in this argument.
