Well, those 200 mile economic zones do have a bit of overlap, especially with Canada. But they will be worked out appropriately via committee.

The crux of my response, however, is that regardless of whether Arctic ice is melting or increasing, the surveying will continue.

MM was trying to assert that this surveying was evidence of expected ice melt and I think that was an assumption that wasn't warranted.

We do have some claim to water off Alaska based on existing maritime law.
