Yes, innocent people die in wars. That can't be avoided.


Excuse me, but the torture and murder of two innocent Afghans by American soldiers could have and should have been avoided. You are out of line for thinking otherwise.

But no nation in the history of the world has been more careful about avoiding the loss of innocent life. Each successive American war exponentially reduces the incidence of civilian casualties.

We weren't very careful during this war. From gitmo to abu ghraib to Afghanistan, Bush sullied America's good name.

Contrast this with our enemies who deliberately attacked and killed more than 3,000 innocents on 9/11 -- something America would never do.

I don't compare myself to the worst. Why do you?
