Excuse me, but the torture and murder of two innocent Afghans by American soldiers could have and should have been avoided.

Neither you nor I have enough facts to make that determination. But what we do know is that the last several wars America has fought have been the most humane in history.

We weren't very careful during this war. From gitmo to abu ghraib to Afghanistan

GITMO and Abu Ghraib had nothing to do with "us" not being careful. And frankly, in no previous war in history would the incidents at either place have been considered out of line at all.

There was no inappropriate treatment at GITMO and that at Abu Ghraib was minimal, totally blown out of proportion by an Anti-Bush media.

As to Afghanistan, it is a war zone. I suggest you compare what is happening there with what happened there in the 80s for some guidance as to American humanity.

I don't compare myself to the worst. Why do you?

There isn't any comparison. American actions in the current wars has been above reproach. Those few times that something inappropriate happened, the soldiers involved were punished.

In both Iraq and Afghanistan, treatment of citizens by their own governments is far worse than anything we ever did to ANY of them.
