Mary;

Going around and talking passionately about things you don't know much about is "crazy".

Are you calling me "crazy"? Or just republicans? But then it isn't just republicans as there are lots of "crazy" democrats who are worried about debt levels. I guess most people are crazy?

Democrats complained bitterly that the Bush administrations spending in Iraq was sinking us into a level of debt that was mind bending and unsustainable. It is crazy of Krugman to to now say on top of that debt, on top of the debt in the entitlement programs, and on top of the stimulus spending - which is huge compared to the Iraq war spending we don't need to worry about debt. You can't complain about debt when the republicans make it but then dismiss it when democrats do

Each American according to this link now owes about 37,000 dollars. So if you are a family of 5 your portion of the debt before all this stimulus spending and before the massive obligations for baby boomers is 175,000 dollars. Be sure and remember that interest builds on that debt every single day. Now who is really crazy?
