The reason for total destruction has nothing to do with Rove....it is because the GOPers decided to act like Democrats, spend like drunken sailors and otherwise abandon the core principles of the party....Rove was good at getting people elected, he had little to do with policy.

Even in it's salad days it was 51% and the rest could GFthemselves. I don't see how Rove ever intended to build a "permanent (R) majority" from that plan.
