The exchange rate for $US is horrible now. Castro takes a big bite out of it. He did it in retaliation some years back. I forget what. I stopped sending $$. I send some money there, but I always send pesos, because they get a more favorable rate. They are so poor that pennies go a long way. $10 a month is a lot to most of them.
