"Sounds like the excuse of socialists"

No, it sounds more like the excuse of the deregulators. It was all the fault of certain rogue speculators that damaged the world economy, the system is sound...

"I don't see any economic justification for a wealth tax"

You aren't alone. Which is probably why one was never implemented. Any more nitwit arguments?

Sounds like the excuse of socialists.

Sounds more like the excuse of supply-siders to me.

Clinton raised taxes, supply siders predicted economic catastrophe. Instead we got exceptional economic growth, job growth, market growth and shrinking deficits.

Bush cut taxes and we got subpar economic and job growth, exploding deficits, markets lower than when he took office and a terrible crash at the end.

Do supply siders question the validity of their theories? Not a chance in hell...
