>>But where this is not possible, and banks
require substantial additional resources from the
government, we will hold accountable those responsible<<

ROTFLPIMP!

How much jail time (cumulative) has been amassed "by those responsible"? How many CEO's and BOD's who were "responsible" are still in office. This is a sick fcuking joke!<NG>

1. All those loser banks and wall streeters should have failed. That's capitalism and you'll never fix anything by rewarding the losers, IMO. They've been given a bailout to continue on their merry way, IMO.
2. They do not know what would happened if the losers failed. If the losers would have failed, we'd probably be on our way to recovery instead of this slow drip economic agony. Most times when you let the losers fail, the smartest....the survivors become stronger, the market weeds out the losers. We don't want losers running anything. That's not capitalism. They should fail. Confidence is shot when the losers get rewarded.
3. I know lot's of people that had NO problem getting a loan over the last several months to buy foreclosures or cars. None. What's with all of this: credit is frozen crap? I'm calling BS on that.
