All because Clinton raised taxes?

I didn't say that.

But serious supply siders predicted doom with the passage of Clinton's tax increases and they were way off. Rational people reconsider their models as new data comes in, but supply siders are clearly not serious or data driven. Instead they are purveyors of propaganda.

And it wasn't just Clinton. Reagan had raised taxes several times after his initial cuts. Bush Sr. raised taxes. Then Clinton raised them again. And we had an excellent expansion. That should've given supply siders pause, if they were serious.

Bush cut taxes twice, and we had a pathetically weak expansion, market erosion, terrible job growth, exploding deficits, and now an economic collapse.

That might be enough to give a supply sider even more pause. But what has all their soul-searching and evaluation of the data led them to? More tax cuts of course...

Replacing the supply-side theory with one that credits Clinton for the creation of prosperity is ludicrous.

And arguing strawmen is a waste of time.
