He is right now in Seattle and just like my wife, complaining about the weather.

The weather is not to be believed. Spokane has had over 100 inches of snow.....when normally they have 20-30 inches. The winter wheat is way late. The tulip festival in an exurban county that starts in the last week of March and ends in the first week of April had to be extended to May because there are no tulips blooming. The cherries are two months behind. Farmers can't start planting because we continue to get frosts. I thought it was only effecting the PNW but like your wife, a friend in CA was complaining as well. I guess it must be the whole West coast.
