willaim, actually compusa and micro are releasing a $500 pc. I wouldn't buy it. some of the majors just dropped their 1399 pc to $899. I expect more of this. pc's selling at a bargain this christmas. I think cpq has antiscipated this and already charged off price drops to 3q97 that happen in 4q97. expect to see unbelievable drops in months ahead. the lower tier has massive inventory to move and they will drop like CTX cut $500. expect more of the same and know cpq planned it to happen
