But I don't remember them making such a big todo about Barney. I guess because there are small kids involved.....Malia and Sasha....it becomes a bigger deal. I find it annoying and I love dogs. During the Katrina aftermath, there was a news report on how this one wealthy donor set up a charter flight from New Orleans to Los Angeles. There was no one on the flight except dogs that were abandoned during the evacuation, then later rescued by relief workers. Yes, that was the wife of TJ Pickens.......he and she took a lot of flack for that.......they spent $250k flying those dogs to SFO. Some dog haters out there could have pointed out how this was a humongous waste of money, but I think most Americans would agree that rescuing dogs is a good thing. ;-) True most of the time but not when there were people hurting in NOLA.
