all true

but knowing the last chapter of the book, the final outcome, the other shore of the dark interregnum, does not make the plot twists and swirls and vortex easy, i guess

'fees' are extorted from the productive economy as governments manipulate the productive sectors.

Like they did in the middle ages with guy selling fruits in the local market.

The medieval city put 'fees' to be paid prior to enter the city to sell the produce in the market place at the center of the town.

He arrives with a wheelbarrow full of bananas on Sunday.

He was asked for the fee and had not paid it. Penalty was to be applied on the spot.

Take the produce to be sold and destroy it. To set an example for the tax dodgers the produce to be sold would be stuck up the ass of the tax dodger.

As the bananas were being stuck up his ass the culprit was laughing.
The taxmen applying the punishment stoped and asked why was he laughing while being punished.
He said: "I am just picturing my cousin who did not pay the 'fee' and is coming up with a wheelbarrow full of pineapples!!!
