Break the polls down though and you find there is still a major spread between the generic "Dem congressperson" and the generic "Rep congressperson"....

As a whole, however, the institution itself has been wallowing in the mire for a generation.

PS --- I liked Andrew Sullivan's suggestion: politicians (like the Pro's at the Masters do, or like Nascar drivers) should be required to wear the logos of their SPONSORS (Goldman Sacks, AFL/CIO, ClearChannel, NRA, Big Insurance, Big Pharma, etc., etc.) at ALL TIMES when appearing in public.

Hell of an idea! That way we can see at a glance who "owns 'em"....
