Had you read them it would have been clear that Lott is having a serious problem replying to his critics. Anyone who does serious policy work has such. The test of the viability of that work is not the presence of critics; it's the quality of responses to critics. Faking an identity, losing an important data set, crafting obscure replies, failing to submit a reply to critics that he had been committed to do so for a long time. All that leads to serious lack of trust in his work. Anyone who cites it now has to deal with Lott's failures to respond.
