The Tea Party I attended was encouraging to me.

Every age group was represented and we had a lot of traffic to deal with. I'd say there were approx 150 people at those four corners at Theneos Dairy.....very busy intersection. I'm glad there weren't too many more........the corners were pretty packed. A gentleman stopped by after coming from 520 and Avondale and said there were twice as many people there. I'd say 4 out of 10 cars honked and waved.

Amazing!

We only got the finger 3 times. I would shout out "get a job" or " hope your chains fit." LOL I get pretty riled up in a crowd. The neat thing was being able to talk to complete strangers and agree with them, and have something in common with them all. It was liberating and I felt really close to these people. All of whom are very concerned and fearful. The only kook there (that I talked to) was an anti war Ron Paul supporter. (no offense to Ron Paul)

She was ACORN like.......ewwwwww......I got as far away from her as I could.

I got dozens of inquiries about my sign. (All I did was write in big red letters on a yellow background: "GOING GALT" with several passages from Atlas Shrugged included.)

Very few people knew who John Galt was. I enjoyed telling the story. One lady told me she had to tell several people about Galt. I knew most people wouldn't know what the heck my sign meant and so it was expected I'd get questions. Kind of a drag that most people haven't read Rand. They've heard of her.......but come on.......most people read Rand in college. Oh..............I forgot......only left wing propaganda is allowed on campus. If you want to read alternative material you must hunt for it and that takes effort. NG

On the bright side........someone told me Galt means "wrong" in Norwegian.

I had a chance to talk to retirees, MSFT workers, Republican lobbyists, Independents and average folks. There were also lots of kids and 1/2 doz teenagers. Every age group was represented.

There was a lady there taking pictures. She said she was going to post the pics on Politics TV. I haven't looked yet, but will post them at PfP if I find them.

Another lady told me about a book called "Witness." It was the story of Whitaker Chamberlain (and written by him) from the time he was indoctrinated into the Communist Party in college to his testimony to The House Un-American Committee. The book sounds fascinating......the stories about Nixon and Alger Hiss were very interesting.

I'm going to order it from the library tomorrow.

I'm also thrilled that Matt Girard was given a second chance on American Idol tonight.

All in all a very good day!
