Ted, atheists and human secularists often view all religions through the same lens. That leads them to think that religions as different as Islam and Christianity are actually one of the same.

You're just bringing up the usual Crusades argument, this time to avoid facing the huge distinctions between the two religions.

You know what the major distinction is between Islam and Christianity........a number of Christians live in the advanced countries....consequently, their approach to religion is much less orthodox; Muslims live in less advanced countries..less educated and poorer....and much more orthodox in their approach to their religion. Having said that, Christianity has been and continues to be a violent religion from time to time esp. in the third world countries that mirror the countries where Islam predominates.

In fact, I find Christians to be a bit smug about how 'good' their religion is vis a vis other religions. They seem to ignore Christianity's rather violent history.
