I had a brief assignment in NZ in 1985 - all aviation related. Their Air Force consisted of two squadrons of Douglas A4 aircraft.

I wasn't able to determine if the aircraft were purchased new or handouts from the us after service over Nam.

The kiwis are good people; just weren't very defense oriented back then.
