WHY shouldn't evolution be taught in public schools??

Glad you're getting back to what I actually did say. I am despairing of science's ability to handle this objectively. It seems to me it inevitably gets to using evolution as a means to establish philosophical materialism as proven by science. So I earlier said, perhaps this s/b put off till college. Thinking about it some more, I suppose it doesn't matter. Most people learn to disbelieve much of what they're taught and maybe its good to get that cynical base laid early.

I was mislead and I resent it and hate to see it happen to others, which is happening.

Did you know even CATHOLIC schools teach evolution?!? Not only because they HAVE to, but the idea has been accepted by the church itself?? What backwater of religion are you trying to put into the public schools... may we ask?

Sure, so did the Christian school our kids went to based on the textbook they used.
