"To the extent veterans read it as an accusation ... an apology is owed,

Janet Napolitano apologized to veterans

Too little, too late, off target.

The report insulted everybody who opposes the growth of government embodied in the Obama plan.

If Napolitano were really monitoring violent extremism, she's be looking at Congress more carefully. There are seemingly some real off-the-wall nut jobs there. The rest of us, looking in, are seeing that every day, as they come to the mic often. Including Ms. Napolitano!

"Let me be clear: we monitor the risks of violent extremism taking root here in the United States," Napolitano said in a statement. "We don't have the luxury of focusing our efforts on one group; we must protect the country from terrorism whether foreign or homegrown, and regardless of the ideology that motivates its violence."
