Don't forget China/Shanghai composite was up 4.88%!

Last Thursday, PBS held in-depth interviews with a handful of old Asian hands. They unaminous opinion was that the current crisis reflects a new economic order in the making--the competitive threat of People's Republic's China vs the four Asian tigers of the decade(s) past.

We shall see.
