Their ENTIRE business is based upon keeping drugs officially illegal (and yet in strong demand).

Their PROFITS DEPEND upon exactly that: legalization would DESTROY THEIR PROFITS. (Just as the repeal of Prohibition sank the alcohol profits of the gangsters....)
