Maybe so but there it is. Child abuse, spouse abuse, murder, suicide, other crimes go way up as the economy goes down.

That's one thing that worries me about the drive toward trying to cut short this recession. Anyway, just a thought.

And I don't totally disagree. Where we do disagree is that this wasn't, still isn't a plain old recession. When most of the major banks in the country are insolvent we're talking about a huge upheaval.

You may or may not see how serious that can be... if you do I think you will change your mind on the moral hazard of bailouts and stimulus.
