1. It hasn't been all that long... we were treating our Native Americans violently into the last century and also converting them. 2. The portion of Muslims that actually have any real interest in acting against the West is very, very small. Keep in mind that Al-Qaida is something like 15,000 people. How many people in the U.S. would advocate nuking parts of the Middle East? 1. I'm not part of this "we", and neither has anyone in my recent family history. 2. I don't subscribe to the belief that we should not defend ourselves against enemies because it would result in our enemies getting really pissed at us. You're wrong to think there are 15000 Americans ready and willing to act like Islamic terrorists begging for the chance to kill Muslims as a free pass to heaven. Islam has problems that neither you or I or Israel can solve.
