That is what is stopping the high speed trains here. Our distances are huge, and the population density just isn't there, with the exception of the DC, NYC, Boston, areas...

If the Congress and Obama wanted to do ONLY One change, we could work on the trains....Wonder what we could buy with about $750 Billion...? Problem is, there are so many earmarks and other make work or stupid programs, I don't think it will happen either. .

I'd ride a regular slow train if they had any kind of schedule and route that made sense. If I want to take the train to Seattle, I have to go downtown at two am, and there's no parking.
