On the contrary, it was very easy to conclude what I did. Read the article. Schakowsky made a number of intellectually lazy assumptions about who the tea partiers were and about their agenda. (Did she talk to any of them?) She then proceeded to label them as "despicable" simply because her stereotype of what she assumed them all to be.

The reasons why the tea parties took place transcends Obama and the current Democrat agenda. These reasons have been building for a very long time. Based on what I've seen, it was very incorrect to assume that the protesters all had the same homogeneous label.

It would have been just as intellectually lazy to have assumed the protesters were all liberal Democrats if the Republicans were still in power. And it would have been just as elitist, just as "Marie-Antoinette-esque" if you will, for a Republican congressperson in that context to have labeled those protests as "despicable".

So I have to ask, are YOU literate?

As to secession, play no attention to Governor Goodhair (Perry). He's running for reelection against Kay Bailey and he's trying to build credentials of some sort. It doesn't work for most of us, we should already know who and what he actually is.
