That's not surprising. When I asked him for an example of what he meant, he linked to a page on options. In other words, he might have been winging it.

SRS and FAZ had both been going down all afternoon and then in the last 30 minutes they reversed course and made up nearly 1/2 their losses. Usually at the end of the day, they sell off. That's why I thought end of expiry week might have had something to do with the sudden rally.

The other possibility is that the hedgies are deciding to go short tomorrow, communicated that among themselves today and they stepped in at the end of the day. I say that because this guy on TSCM is uncanny with his calls. And today, for the first time in over a month, he said he was going short SKF. He runs a hedge fund.
