i agree. next event of this year is around the corner. have completed positioning accordingly. (net positive, though short term cap gains tax subject, as usual)

Consumer price index printed NEGATIVE a day or so ago.

The 0.01 % could also just be the result of money moving around - Bank gets big tarp check, buys T-bills while they figure out where to put the money.

I also don't see 0.01 % as different from 0.08%

IMHO:

About the banking system.

Comercial RE & construction loans will be having issues with rollovers.

FDIC at risk thru Public/Private PS lets roll the dice plan.

Just another way to "play it safe", except of course, for currency risk.

Another chapter in our "interesting adventure"...
