an item about $5.2 bil “Neighborhood Stabilization Programs.”

So what's neighborhood stabilization? Paying off the street gangs so they don't burn the place down? What?

See, that's the problem. Nobody really knows.

"The USS Bush cost only a little bit more than that "neighborhood stabilization" program. $5.2 bil for the program. $6.2bil for the Bush."

This is what I was getting at. Not the ongoing maintenance costs. Sure, total costs of a carrier are enormous. Don't even talk about the armada of ships necessary to sail with her.

IMO, this is a great illustration of the money going down the sink hole. $5B so ACORN can go around in American neighborhoods and do as they see fit. As far as I am concerned, both are military - or at least pseudo-military - but one is operating domestically.
