Jeff decided SI forum wasn't doing anything for him. He does a tremendous amount of analysis and then was spending tons of time following threads and contributing. It wasn't worth it.

Donald, I hope you are not taking cheap shots at Jeff Maresh.

Jeff did an outstanding job of research and shared it
with others. Hindsight is always 20/20. Unlike some posters
in this forum who seem to change their whole perspective
with every earnings announcement, Jeff has always claimed
that he was investing for the long term and was not swayed
by the extreme sentiments.

This forum has done a great job of figuring out what is
great about SGI (technology, people) and what is problematic.
Jeff was the single greatest contributor to this forum.

In the long run (and I agree with vincent who got it right)
if SGI solves the enterprise/marketing problems (not easy)
they have a good chance of being as successful as Jeff was
predicting all along. Even if SGI gets bought it would be
a clear proof that it owns very valuable assets as Jeff
had forseen way long before others did.
