"The idea of IQ being inherited is a way for poor people to be shown their own place."

Elmo recent studies do indicate that many character straits are inherited. More recently it has been widley shown that genes play a rile in personality intelligence and several other behavioral straits. Turkheimer suggest as a "first law of behavior genetics" that all human behavioral traits are heritable.

Search for works by Bouhard TJ, Tellegen A, Segal NL, Plomin R, DEvlin R, Roeder K for example about "heritability of the IQ"

Those findings justify the notion that smart people with high income should pay more taxes to spread social justice as a the person which was born without talent, imagination or smarts is not its own fault but that of his parents who should have known better before bearing children.

It also justifies discouraging ungifted people to bear more children and make use of more contraceptives – sounds very wrong socially and politically but those are facts substantiated by recent research.

So some one that was born very smart should share his wealth with the poor - and on the other hand some one that is a charlatan or a swindler or a thief should be banned form positions of power for life as his temptation to breach the law is a inherited strait and should not be in a position that he can exercise it.

Therefore all WS and Senior Banker of 2003 trough 2009 (etc.) must be fired punished and their compensation for all those years revoked

Jewish legacy inscribed on genes?

"""....Psychologists and educational researchers have pegged their average IQ at 107.5 to 115. That's only modestly higher than the overall European average of 100, but the gap is large enough to produce a huge difference in the proportion of geniuses. When a group's average IQ is 100, the percentage of people above 140 is 0.4%; when the average is 110, the genius rate is 2.3%.

Though Jews make up less than 3% of the U.S. population, they have won more than 25% of the Nobel Prizes awarded to American scientists since 1950, account for 20% of this country's chief executives and make up 22% of Ivy League students, the pair write.""""

>>push early childhood education and bolster schools in poor neighborhoods,<<

but if one picks one's parents right, they don't grow up in bad schools and with parents that don't value education.

"inherited" isn't just limited to genetics.

ElM, you are the Wayoman but can't see that the confidence trick that "education" can raise intelligence is a fraud which is great for certain people to get paid lots of money to "raise intelligence" or as they prefer to call it "learning" [coz they can show zero "intelligence" enhancement with their so-called education programmes].

Intelligence is a function of DNA. However, DNA is a necessary but not sufficient condition.

A zygote with great potential intelligence can be damaged from the start with their future potential increasingly reduced.

Give the mother a rotten diet and add toxins and before you know it, the infant will be off to a very bad start. Then, continue to feed in toxins and poor diet and during development, the child can be increasingly harmed and limited in potential.

You can give a chimpanzee zygote a perfect diet with zero toxins and do the same all through development and you will end up with a chimp which still can't do differential calculus, even with excellent teachers.

It's the same with humans. Get a low intelligence zygote and no matter what you do, it's not going to invent the general theory of relativity or even learn how to solve quadratic equations.

Did you not read the comments about the very strong correlation of identical twins raised separately? That's not coincidence. Raised together identical twins are also highly similar in intelligence. That's because they are more or less the same person.

The reason women choose males based on intelligence is because they instinctively know that intelligent males are going to do better in supporting them and the infants and the intelligent DNA is a better carrier for her DNA. She gets a win-win.

The main reason for the big bump over our eyebrows is because women have been doing that for a million years. Males who grunted at them were less persuasive as mating options.

You can't make a silk purse out of sow's ear.

Mostly, the reason people are poor [compared with the people living around them] is because they don't have the brains to achieve more.

To see why whole countries are poor, you need to try again to read "Smart Fraction Theory". lagriffedulion.f2s.com You can also read Smart Fraction Theory on "Why Asians Lag".

Identical twin brain study here: newscientist.com Note the dopey comment at the end by the Harvard guy who is right that there's more to life than 'g'. But that doesn't mean having a huge 'g' is a bad thing. 'g' is a necessary but not sufficient condition to doing really well.
