But without doing a lot of research, which I am not really in the mood to do, because it's a gorgeous day here, I don't know if they did or didn't. And raising awareness is a good thing- if done without violence and within the law. I don't understand quite of what you are trying to convince me. My only objection to the protestors was that their parenting skills were questionable, imo, and that they went too far invading the church. Personally I found them offensive, because their style isn't mine- I prefer information and discussion and facts, not being called babykiller. I never gave an personal opinion on PBA. I don't think anyone here has, despite JessA's ridiculous response to my post. From memory of past research, I seem to remember that PBAs make up an extremely small percentage of abortions- less than 1% I think, but am not sure- and that PP's objection to the last attempt to ban it was based on the vagueness of the wording(which they felt could be expanded to apply to much earlier stages of pregnancy), and to the lack of a maternal health clause. It was seen as a sort of sneak attack on abortion in general, like the charges against intelligent design being a cover for creationism. I am prochoice, but like you, I believe that once a fetus has reached the point of viability outside the womb, abortion shouldn't be performed. Heck, at that point, there are only a few weeks before a normal delivery and the option of adoption. I don't hold religious beliefs about a fetus, so I have no problem with first trimester abortions, and certainly none against the morning after pill. Though even when I was religious, I was still pro-choice for others.
